Patiala, August 3:
A state-level meeting of education in-charges and block education coordinators of various districts of Punjab was organized at the conference hall of the Zila Parishad in Patiala. The meeting was chaired by Aam Aadmi Party’s State Education In-charge Gulshan Chhabra and Zila Parishad Patiala Chairman Gurdev Singh Tiwana. The meeting was organized under the leadership of District Education In-charge Vijay Monroe.
Addressing the meeting, Gulshan Chhabra said that to bring Punjab’s school education to the first place in the country, Aam Aadmi Party’s National Convener Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia are guiding based on their successful experiences. He said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, Education Minister Harjot Singh Bains and the entire team are continuously making efforts to raise the standard of education. He further informed that many important initiatives have been taken like construction of school boundary walls, provision of desks for students, establishment of laboratories of various subjects, construction of new smart classrooms, provision of separate toilets for girls, establishment of School of Eminence, appointment of security guards and campus managers in schools, regularization of raw teachers and recruitment of new teachers. Apart from this, schemes like ‘Mission Samarth’ to train teachers in Singapore, Finland and Ahmedabad and promote quality education have also been successfully implemented.
Gulshan Chhabra appealed to the members of the school management committees and other associates to contribute to the development of schools as volunteers and further strengthen the education system through their valuable suggestions.
On this occasion, Gulshan Chhabra was also honored by all the school management committee members and chairmen. Gurinderjit Singh Jawandha Chairman Punjab Infotech, Harmeet Singh Chhibber Zonal Education Incharge, Dr. Gurpreet Singh, Raj Kumar Khosla, Hakam Singh, Jagar Singh Rajpura, Jaspal Singh, Amrik Singh, Gurbaz Singh, Daya Singh, Gopal Krishna, Ram Sharan, Dinesh Puri, Ravinder Mehtab, Vijay Goswami, Shashank, Rajinder Singh Chani and District Education Incharges, Block Coordinators, Chairmen of School Management Committees and other members from various districts of Punjab were present.
