Ferozepur: A Punjab Police Station House Officer (SHO) allegedly jumped into the Ferozepur feeder canal in Makhu town of Ferozepur district, triggering a massive search operation by police and divers.

The missing officer has been identified as Gurdial Singh, a resident of Batala in Gurdaspur district. He was posted with the Punjab Police’s 112 Emergency Response Helpline in Makhu.

According to police, moments before the incident, Gurdial Singh uploaded a video on social media in which he levelled serious allegations against seven individuals.
