Patiala, September 10: A spectacular 500-drone show organised by the Punjab Government at Anaj Mandi in Patiala Rural constituency today brought alive the life, Bani, teachings and philosophy of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji, captivating the Sangat with a visually impressive presentation.
The event was organised as part of the year-long celebrations being held across Punjab to commemorate the 650th Parkash Purb of Sri Guru Ravidas Maharaj Ji. Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Balbir Singh, AAP SC Wing State President Gurpreet Singh GP, Deputy Commissioner Dr Himanshu Aggarwal and a large number of devotees from Patiala Rural constituency witnessed the show with devotion and enthusiasm.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Balbir Singh said that the Punjab Government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, was committed to following the path shown by Guru Sahib and working for the welfare of all sections of society.
He said modern digital technology was being used to connect the younger generation with the universal message of Guru Ravidas Ji. Through the drone show, his life, Bani and teachings were presented in a vibrant manner against the night sky.
Dr Balbir Singh said the teachings of Guru Ravidas Ji embody the values of equality, brotherhood, hard work, righteous conduct and social harmony. His philosophy, he added, was not confined to any particular community but conveyed a universal message of equality, freedom and fraternity for the entire humanity.
The Minister said the Punjab Government had earmarked more than Rs 100 crore for year-long programmes dedicated to the 650th Parkash Purb of Guru Ravidas Ji, aimed at taking his great ideas and message of human welfare to the younger generation in a modern and effective manner.
The Sangat appreciated the initiative and thanked the Punjab Government and Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann for organising the spectacular show.
