Prince George: A major accident occurred during an emergency landing of a plane in the city of Prince George in the province of British Columbia, Canada. One person died in the accident, while two others were taken to the hospital after sustaining serious injuries. According to Canadian police, the plane made an emergency landing on Foothills Boulevard and collided with vehicles on the road.
The incident occurred at around 2:20 pm on Thursday. After receiving information, emergency teams were immediately sent to the scene. According to investigating officers, two vehicles on the road were affected in the accident. The person riding in one of these vehicles died.
Eyewitnesses to the incident said that the situation became uncontrollable in a few moments. According to an eyewitness named Mohit Arora, the plane that was making an emergency landing collided with a pickup truck. A part of the plane was seen falling on the road, while the vehicles also suffered significant damage after the accident.
Mohit Arora said that he himself narrowly escaped being involved in the accident. According to him, the plane stopped just a short distance from his car. He described it as the scariest scene of his life.
According to British Columbia Emergency Health Services, ambulances were sent to the scene after the accident. Several people were checked at the scene and two people were taken to hospital for treatment. Police said the deceased person was riding in one of the vehicles on the ground.
According to information, the plane involved in the accident was a twin-engine Beech King Air 200. The Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) has launched an investigation into the incident. Officials are trying to determine what conditions the plane encountered to make an emergency landing on the road.
