On August 15, Agriculture Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian will Hoist The National Flag at Patiala-Dr. Aggarwal

Patiala, August 13:
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Agarwal reviewed the full dress rehearsal of the district level function to be held on August 15 at Raja Bhalinder Singh Sports Complex, Polo Ground, Patiala on the occasion of the country’s 80th Independence Day. On this occasion,
SP (Local) Vaibhav Chaudhary and ADC (J) Anuprita Johal were also present.
The Deputy Commissioner congratulated the country on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day and said that this year this function is being celebrated in a very grand manner in Patiala. The Deputy Commissioner appealed to all the district residents to reach the Polo Ground on the occasion of the Independence Day function.
On this occasion, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Agarwal said that Punjab’s Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Dairy Development and Food Processing Minister S. Gurmeet Singh Khudian will perform the national flag hoisting ceremony at Patiala and will deliver his message to the district residents.
During the full dress rehearsal, under the leadership of Parade Commander DSP Fateh Singh Brar, ITBP, District Police, Women’s Wing, Punjab Home Guards, NCC. Army and Air Wing, St. John Ambulance Brigade of Old Police Line School, Guide Sucad troops of Senior Secondary Model School Punjabi University and the Pipe Band of Punjab Police IRB saluted the tricolor flag.
During this, students presented a cultural program including the gatak dance. The Deputy Commissioner said that during the event, the Cabinet Minister will honor the freedom fighters who made their great contribution to the country’s freedom struggle and their family members and descendants, while personalities who have done commendable work in various fields will also be honored.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the district police has made strict security arrangements for the Independence Day event and the required force has been deployed. He said that the police has increased its vigilance in view of the event.
SP (Headquarters) Vaibhav Chaudhary also appealed to the people not to touch any unwanted object and to report any suspicious object or suspicious person to the nearest police station, post, checkpoint or PCR team or to the police helpline number 112.
On this occasion, Commissioner Municipal Corporation Pooja Sial, ADC (RD) Damanjit Singh Mann, ADC (J) Anuprita Johal, SPs Palwinder Singh Cheema, Sukhamrit Singh Randhawa, SDM, DRO, Civil Surgeon along with officers and employees of other departments were present.
