Nuh, September 10. District Deputy Commissioner Akhil Pilani stated that Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini laid the foundation stone for several important projects related to sports and education and inaugurated several development works to accelerate the overall development of Nuh district. These projects will expand sports facilities in the district and strengthen the educational infrastructure.
Sports sector will get a new dimension
The Deputy Commissioner informed that to provide better sports facilities to the youth, the sports stadium in Pingawan will be renovated at a cost of Rs 1.80 crore through the Mewat Development Agency. Additionally, sports stadiums in Shahpur-Nangli village (Nuh) and Kameda village (Ferozepur Jhirka) will be renovated at a cost of Rs 85 lakh.
He informed that sports grounds will be developed in 10 government schools in the Hathin block at a cost of Rs 50 lakh. The Chief Minister also inaugurated sports facilities developed at a cost of Rs 80 lakh in 16 government schools in Nuh district. These projects will provide a better training and practice environment for the district’s athletes and will provide new opportunities for sports talent in rural areas to thrive.
Education and child development facilities will be strengthened
Deputy Commissioner Akhil Pilani stated that several important projects have also been initiated in the field of education. Girls’ toilets will be constructed in 33 government schools in the Nuh division at a cost of approximately ₹1 crore, providing better facilities to female students and increasing their enrollment and attendance.
He informed that a sub-divisional library will be constructed in Hathin block at a cost of Rs 39 lakh, while hybrid solar power plants will be installed in 14 government schools in Hathin block at a cost of Rs 1 crore. Additionally, 100 model Anganwadi centers will be established at a cost of Rs 1.47 crore, providing better services to children and women.
The Deputy Commissioner said that the Chief Minister also distributed scholarships totaling ₹92 lakh under the Chief Minister’s Mewat Poor Meritorious Scholarship Scheme and the Chief Minister’s Mewat Student Talent Honor Scheme. This will encourage talented and economically disadvantaged students from the Mewat region to pursue higher education.
Akhil Pilani said that the implementation of these projects related to sports, education and child development will expand the basic facilities in Nuh district and the youth and students will get better opportunities to progress.
