Patiala Mayor Kundan Gogia continues to remain in action mode to ensure the city’s overall development and provide quality civic amenities to residents. Even after official working hours, the Mayor remained “on duty” late into the evening, conducting surprise inspections of completed development works in various wards and colonies of the city along with the Municipal Corporation’s technical team. Municipal Corporation SDO Hardeep Singh and JE Rohit Kumar accompanied him during the inspection and briefed him on the technical quality and progress of the projects.
As part of the Municipal Corporation Patiala’s ongoing campaign to monitor development works across the city, Mayor Kundan Gogia visited Heera Bagh, Baba Deep Singh Nagar, Arjan Nagar, Bharat Nagar, Shakti Nagar, Atar Singh Colony, Sukhram Colony, and Old Bishan Nagar, among other localities, to review the completed development projects.
During the inspection, Mayor Kundan Gogia issued strict instructions to officials and contractors regarding cleanliness and quality standards. He categorically directed that all waste material and construction debris lying on roads, streets, or surrounding areas must be removed immediately after the completion of construction work. The Mayor further instructed that no payment should be released to the concerned contractors until the site has been completely cleaned and all debris has been removed.
Mayor Kundan Gogia said that providing Patiala residents with quality basic civic amenities without inconvenience remains the Municipal Corporation’s top priority. He emphasized that no negligence or laxity in development works will be tolerated and that such surprise inspections will continue in the future to ensure accountability and quality.
