Patiala, August 10:
23 Booth Level Officers and Supervisors who performed exceptionally well during the Special In-depth Revision of Voter Lists (SIR-2026) were felicitated by District Election Officer-cum-Deputy Commissioner Dr. Himanshu Agarwal at the district level with certificates of appreciation. Out of these, 9 BLOs were those who were given certificates by the Chief Electoral Officer of Punjab, Mrs. Anindita Mitra.
On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that among the first 100 BLOs to complete the work of SIR-2026 in the state of Punjab, 9 BLOs of Patiala district are also included, to whom certificates have been issued by the Chief Electoral Officer, Punjab. Apart from this, 14 other officers/employees who have rendered excellent services at the district level have also been honored with appreciation letters.
Dr. Himanshu Agarwal said that election related work is always a challenging task, but the task of special in-depth revision of voter lists was even more difficult and responsible. He said that these BLOs and supervisors have set an example by performing their duties with full dedication, honesty and passion.
The Deputy Commissioner congratulated the BLOs and supervisors who received the commendation letters and said that the remaining work of AIR should also be completed with the same spirit and dedication, as per the instructions of the Election Commission of India. He expressed the hope that these employees would become a guide for other BLOs as well.
The Deputy Commissioner said that although the weather was very hot and humid during the SIR work, despite this, the BLOs and supervisors successfully completed this difficult task with full dedication and commitment. He said that all the honored officers and employees deserve congratulations for this excellent performance.
Dr. Agarwal said that now under the next phase of SIR, the claims and objections of the voters whose names have been deleted from the voter lists or who have been left out of the list for some reason should be received and the remaining work should be completed smoothly. He said that this entire work is team work and if any officer or employee needs any kind of assistance, they can feel free to contact them.
Additional District Election Officer-cum-Additional Deputy Commissioner Anuprita Johal and Election Tehsildar Vijay Kumar Chaudhary were also present on the occasion.

114-Sanaur Supervisor Manvinder Singh, BLOs Kamaljit Singh and Balvinder Goswami, 115-Patiala Supervisor Ashish Jolly, BLO Satpal Gupta, 116-Samana Supervisor Karnail Singh, BLO Taljinder Singh and 117-Shutrana Supervisor Rishav Gupta, BLOs Chahat and Jasvir Singh are included.
