Bhawanigarh, July 31:
MLA of Sangrur constituency Narinder Kaur Bharaj listened to the problems of the people during a public meeting in village Jhaneri and ward number 5 and 12 of Bhawanigarh and assured to give further impetus to the development works. On this occasion, she said that the Punjab government under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is committed to ensuring balanced and all-round development of villages and urban areas.
Fulfilling the long-standing demand of the residents of village Jhaneri, MLA Bharaj gave a grant of Rs. 10 lakh for the construction of a public shed. She said that with this, better facilities will be available to the villagers for organizing social, religious and public functions.
Apart from this, the MLA also initiated the development works of paving the road leading to the stadium and religious places with interlock tiles at a cost of about Rs. 17 lakh. She said that with the completion of these works, traffic will be easy and the basic facilities of the village will further improve.
During the public meeting, MLA Bharaj listened carefully to the problems and suggestions of the people and directed the concerned officials to take appropriate action. He said that the government is continuously working to provide development and better services to the doorsteps of the people and every legitimate demand will be resolved on priority basis.
On this occasion, President Avtar Tari, MC Raj Nafkia, MC Jammu Lalka, MC Lakhvir Vicky, Lakhwinder Lakha, Jagsir Singh Jhaneri, Jaspreet Ghabda, Beta President, Sukhdev Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Gurpreet Baba along with a large number of villagers and party leaders were present.
